Hi! I’m Kara.
Nice to meet you.
Professional
With over a decade of experience in therapy and counseling, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings. I began my clinical work in residential psychiatric programs, supporting children, teens, and families through individual, group, and family therapy. I’ve also served as a school counselor in both public and alternative elementary and middle schools.
Today, I’m rooted in private practice here in Nashville—and I truly love the work I get to do.
Fun fact: Before becoming a therapist, I began my career in 2010 as a high school art teacher.
Personal
On a personal note, I’m a mom, a wife, an artist, and an aspiring children’s book author—hoping to publish my first (of many!) books this year. In my free time, you’ll often find me working out, enjoying the outdoors, reading fantasy books, making my own art, and enjoying time with my precious family. I also love spending time with the incredible women in my life, and I believe there’s something truly powerful that happens when women come together.
Fun fact: As a child, I struggled with reading—undiagnosed ADHD made me believe I was not good and reading. Today, I’ve grown to love it and now read every chance I get, with a goal of finishing over 35 books this year.
